When I first heard Haimanti Sukla at a concert in Bombay, I was deeply impressed by her extraordinary melodious and flexible voices with superb range and her total command of subtle nuance of 'swar' and 'taal'. Composing Bengali songs, for the first time, for her was a pleasant experience when I found that Haimanti not only had immence potential but her approach to music had dedication and devotion. Endowed with a sharp and meticulous pick up, she is capable of rendering all types of songs with proper expression and ease. She has shown deep reverence towards me and other musicians, a great quality indeed. Undoubtedly, she must have been exposed to true musical 'SANSKAAR'. Yet her simplicity and humbleness is amazing. I am confident that this album would bear the stamp of her artistry."
